What Does Dental Insurance Include?
Dental care covers three main areas of dental care: major restorative services, basic services, and preventative services.
Major restorative services include dentures, onlays, and inlays, installing bridges and crowns, etc., and the insurance services can cover between 50 to 80 percent depending on your plan.
Whereas for basic services like root canals, non-surgical extraction, and fillings, you can get 80 to 100 percent coverage depending upon your plan. And for preventive care, you should be able to get 100 percent coverage. These services include fluoride treatments, X-rays, cleaning, and oral exams.
